As much as I may mock in the above statement, the past few days have served as some kind of proof that I may be heading on the wrong career path.

I have listened to countless problems, giving advice where possible, and provided a shoulder for one particularly distressed, though completely drunk, individual to cry on.

What can I say, it’s all part of the service!

Yes, it seems as though it matters not whether I am at school, cadets or talking to people via Windows Live Messenger (aka MSN) at home, I am often called upon with one problem or another – and keep my fingers crossed that I can provide suitable and worthwhile advice.

Never mind aspiring to be a Councillor, I obviously missed my calling as a Counsellor.

Oh well, you can’t change a ship’s direction mid-course – and this one’s going full steam!
