99 tax increases under Labour
COUNCILLOR John Ward has published a complete list of tax increases under Gordon Brown’s Chancellorship.
Cllr Ward has calculated that a typical household will be paying £350 more now compared to 1997 – although he has said in terms of actualy money it is more, this figure allows for inflation.
I shalln’t list the tax increases here, but they form part of the campaign being run by Councillor Chishti, and the full list can be seen on Cllr Ward’s website here.

Just to clarify: the average household is now worse off by around £350 per month than would have been the case without these taxes/rises.
I’m pleased you picked this one up: it is important as it affects just about everyone negatively.
