It is certainly an important local issue, which is why I decided to post about it here, and it is equally as important that we do not let people forget that this continues to be a very real threat.

Thank you for writing the result of the referendum on your blog. I was extremely pleased with the outcome of the ballot and even more impressed by the positive comments I received in person and on email. It is quite clear that the issue hadn’t registered with the general public before the referendum so at the very least the campaign has raised the public profile of the threat to Capstone Valley.

ps – I am a Miss not a Mrs and certainly not a Ms!!

Sat here I am just me and my laptop - and couldn't find any evidence of whether Tracey was married or not (although, come to think about it, she was alone at the Francis Maude dinner).

A very good (though not exactly unexpected!) result, and well worth all the effort of preparing the ballot papers and explanatory letters in envelopes (I did a thousand of ‘em), and then trudging around Wayfield to deliver them, as I did during a couple of long sessions.

Because we could realistically deliver only to properties and not individuals, the numbers supporting the campaign must be quite a lot higher than the 3,000 or so reported — very possibly more than double that.

By the way, I didn’t think Tracey was a “Mrs”…
