ACPO Statistics: August to October 2007
As I promised earlier on this week, the website usage statistics are pleasantly surprising as the number on unique visitors came close to doubling.
The full statistics are shown below, although I have only shown the numbers. Referrers (the largest of which by far was Cllr John Ward), search engine keywords and host names (including those used by MPs and their Westminster staff) have been ommitted for reasons of space and (in the case of the latter) privacy.
Statistical Area – October – September – August
Unique Visitors – 989 – 553 – 496
Number of Visits – 2732 – 1710 – 1590
Pages - 11853 – 39904 – 47240
Hits - 28060 – 52704 – 57802
And already November’s usage statistics have been promising – on November 1 alone this website received 103 unique visitors and over 1600 hits.

As expected, you are ahead of me — not hugely in several cases, but certainly significantly ahead.
My figures for these three months are as follows:
Statistical Area – October – September – August
Unique Visitors – 680 – 542 – 320
Number of Visits – 1,244 – 998 – 540
Pages – 4,130 – 2,421 – 1,667
Hits – 19,718 – 17,835 – 13,210
Admittedly, I do have a mirror site and have not checked the figures for that (though I don’t expect them to be very large), but ‘blog sites such as yours are definitely more popular these days, so the outcome is not surprising.
What is of interest, though, is the upsurge in the last couple of months, which we have both experienced. Something is definitely going on, out there in cyberspace…
