Actually, Mr. John Ward, it wasn't a personal dig at you. I've never met you, so I can't really have an opinion of you (that said, I do find your comment above hilarious).

I did read the article, and my comment was just to be pedantic/annoying. It worked! Don't take it personally, I've nothing against you.

I'm afraid I don't understand the last bit of your comment.

That said, why have you never been in a McDonald's? (I don't have a problem with people avoiding places because of their owners, I do it with Lush stores).

As I said, don't take it personally. :)

Oh, I'm not worried about that! I've never been in one, myself, and intend never to do so, therefore am not that familiar with them. I think they're rubbish, and will have nothing to do with them -- but that might just be me...

Interesting, though, that Rob found nothing else to contribute on this. Does this mean that (a) he didn't understand the point being made; (b) is a supporter of those who have inflicted this situation on us and was seeking a diversionary tactic (a common occurrence in recent times, all over the political blogosphere, I have noticed); or (c) is looking for any excuse -- however slight -- to have a go at me personally.

Whatever the answer turns out to be, it seems that he cannot be part of the solution, and is thus part of the problem. Pity, but there it is...

I'm sure there really isn't any need to get pedantic, Rob!
