Game for a laugh
I was in the paper again yesterday.
For those of you who aren’t aware, I often write letters to the local media, and send our Cadet press releases (as I know the addresses almost by heart).
However, yesterday’s media appearance could easily have been overlooked (even by me), as my dear father put a charming photograph in the paper in celebration of my 18th birthday.
Although, in great bitterness I have to say that it is more than my local MP managed. Whilst friends of mine tell me they received birthday greetings from him (i.e. “you’re old enough to vote for me now, and I’m desperate”), I received nothing. Nor has he yet replied to the email I sent him especially on my birthday. Ho hum, he will do eventually.
As proof I am always game for a laugh, I have provided the photograph below, but I can assure you that the next time a photograph of me that young appears in the paper, it will be because the tabloid paid an awful lot of money to get photographs of the Prime Minister’s childhood…

Brilliant. AS I said before, if you ever get to be PM, I can live off selling stories to the press about you!
And I can attempt to live off selling my profound denials once I have left office!
Incidentally, the above photograph and wording is in today’s Medway News as well. Not bad, seeing as how my birthday was over a week ago now.
Impressive. What I’m more impressed about, however, is that they didn’t manage to get the detilas wrong etc. Many-a time that has happened!
Especially with the paper in question. They even said that a local Councillor from Strood Rural had laid in a coma whilst the votes were being counted and then subsequently died – when it was a Parish Councillor from Stoke Parish Council.
That was an embarassing apology they had to make when they were told.
