Ah, good: well done!
Just for information: I was the first in Medway (possibly the first in the country, but I cannot know that) to publish the basic details of planning applications in my ward on line, here. I was also instrumental (through concerted pressure and offers of assistance) in getting the council to instigate a process oif doing the same, but with all details they have on file, on the council website. I have also pointed out probelms and difficulties in the early days, and suggested ways to overcome them.
All this sounds like “own trumpet blowing”, but that really isn’t what is important. It doesn’t matter who does whatever it happens to be, as much as the fact that it is being done and (hopefully!) being made less error-prone and more user-friendly (to bring back an old expression).
I am so very pleased that others are now able to benefit from all that pioneering activity, and that includes Princes Park, for example. I glow with a sense of pride whenever I see a new example of what we have provided being broadcast to a wider audience.
As John “Hannibal” Smith who led the A-Team would have put it: “I just love it when a plan comes together…”
The latest re-design of your blog is an improvement and looks very good.
Thank you, Chris.
John: as I think you may be aware, I tried this once before. However, the way I was doing it back then (a different post per application) was time-consuming and tedious.
This way I am providing just the basic information, but still enough to provide a service to the residents of Twydall and linking to the on-line application for full details.
Yes, I recall the earlier trial, and agree that it is easier to do (so likely to be more dependable in practice) the way you and the Princes Park duo do this. I started my efforts on this well before the council put the info on-line, and have just continued the way I have always done it.
It’s HERE, just in case you were wondering… (click on the month you want — and, yes, I know there was a period a couple or so years ago when I didn’t get the info, so there are several blank months).
