All is revealed

Later on today I shall explain in more detail how good my A-level results were (or, in some cases, weren’t). However, I felt that, before I finally go to sleep, I should explain a point.

You may have noticed that, since my return from Florida, I have changed the quote in my banner from a biblical quote to a Disney quote. This is because I believe strongly in the power of dreams. Most importantly, I feel that nothing should be allowed to stand in the way of people achieving their dreams – and the onus is on politicians to work hard and ensure that this is the case.

Well, there was a hint embedded in that banner. For the past few weeks, I have been working on chasing a dream which I have held since 2006, but I could take no action until my place at University was confirmed (which, I am happy to say, it now has been).

As soon as I received my results, I emailed my application off. “For what?!” I hear you cry. Well, I am applying for a place on the Walt Disney World International College Program in Summer 2009 – i.e. working at the Walt Disney World Resort in Lake Buena Vista, Florida, next summer!

It’s going to be a long journey – I won’t hear anything back now for 6-8 weeks, and then must undergo a series of interviews. I shall be blogging my progress.
