Thank God it’s Christmas
Yes, thank God, without whom we would not have been here and without whom would not have come our saviour Jesus Christ, whose birth we (well some of us) celebrate today.
The date may have been altered to coincide with a pagan winter holiday, but there is no excuse for not celebrating properly the real reason why we exchange gifts and spend time with family: i.e. by going to Church!
However, unlike last year’s beautiful number, this year my Christmas Day offering is not religious. Instead, may I refer you to true rock legends in the shape of Queen, with an often-unrecognised gem Thank God It’s Christmas.
