Paul Clark relaunches website on popular platform WordPress
Paul Clark, the MP for Gillingham and Rainham, has relaunched his website with a new look, on a new platform and with a new domain name.
Mr Clark has switched to WordPress, a convenient and simple website tool used by millions of people worldwide, for his new-look website, which can be found at www.labourisworking.com.
Those of you who have stuck with me from almost the beginning will know that I have always used WordPress as the foundation on which I have built this website and it is pleasing to see my local MP realise the power and potential WordPress provides.
Not to mention the fact that it is free to use…

Hello Alan,
Glad that you like the new site. I spent most of my Christmas ‘break’ in the North West putting it together. We are quite pleased with it so far, but there are quite a few substantial additions we are yet to launch.
The domain name may/may not stay. It was originally registered as a holding domain to test out the new site.
And for the avoidance of any doubt, as we have a big vote coming up on MPs’ expenses, not a single penny of taxpayer money has been spent putting it together. In fact I think the whole thing has cost about 50 quid so far, so we are doing well.
Best wishes,
Tom (Paul’s HoC Office)
Hi Tom,
You are obviously very committed to have spent much of the ‘break’ working on the site, which is great to hear. It is obvious from browsing it that a lot of hard work has gone into it.
I am going to withold some of my thoughts on the choice domain name, as obviously we have ideological differences. However I do prefer the old one as it retains the “personal touch” for a Constituency MP’s website.
If you have only spent ?50 then you are doing well. My website costs me just over ?70 per year: ?70 on the hosting and the rest on the domain name.
I look forward to seeing the new additions in due course.
