One of the most difficult parts about being a blogger – second, of course, to finding the time to write quality articles – is being able to find inspiration for the articles. This becomes more of a problem when one is distracted, and I don’t mind admitting to you that my present financial predicament is causing a sizeable distraction.
Problems were exacerbated last week when I was underpaid by work, as followers of my twitter feed will be aware. Although it may not sound like much, I was missing 10 hours’ pay – one-fifth of my basic hours – equivalent to £58.50.
Today, however, HM Revenue & Customs showed their worth by sending, in the post, a cheque to the value of £58.30 for tax I was wrongfully charged during my employment at Priestfield Stadium. Despite needing to wait for the cheque to clear, the timing could not have been better.
Even if it did take two months for them to finally send the cheque!
