Update on the Eastcourt Lane lights

A resident has this afternoon informed me that vans have been outside his house today and started digging up the footpath.

Apparently four vans turned up with a mini digger at about 12:45 and my source is hopeful that they are investigating the fault and that lighting will be restored to Eastcourt Lane as soon as possible.

Residents are still left wondering, however, how ‘a council officer can claim to have driven up the road and not noticed the section of road in total darkness especially as residents had explained exactly where the problem lights were situated’.

I shall bring you up-to-speed with new developments as soon as I get them.
