End of an era: last day for last ever Chapter School Year 11s

For many students and teachers the last day of school is one which conjures up many emotions.

Today, however, will be more emotional than most at Chapter Business & Enterprise College, where staff are saying farewell to the last ever Year 11 students.

From September, the all-girls school will be joined with nearby all-boys Temple School as the new Strood Academy, primarily sponsored by the University for Creative Arts.

Current Chapter Headteacher S P Dore will be saying goodbye to her last Year 11s as she retires in July, with Richard Hart taking over as the Strood Academy Principal.
