Twydall motorists targeted by traffic wardens

Alan W Collins has received a tip-off that Medway Council’s traffic wardens have been clamping down hard on improper parking.

My source believes that as many as forty or more vehicles have received fines for offences including parking on grass verges or half on the pavement, even if still parked in the road.

Twydall residents should be aware that enforcement officers are usually in the area at any time between 8am and 10pm.

  1. John Ward says:

I thought it was only itinerant "travellers" who were noted for "camping down hard" in various locations in Medway :-)

  2. Yes, John, well done for picking up the one problem with a touch screen keypad :P

I’ll just have to be more careful next time ;-)

  3. Readers may be interested to know that I have now seen for myself traffic wardens in Twydall Green.

Indeed it was a customer at the Co-operative who had to dart outside and move her car from double yellow line as it was being eyed up (and noted) by the subsequently rather dejected traffic wardens.

As a general rule, with the exception of Medway’s busiest routes, wardens have to observe the vehicle for five minutes before issuing a ticket.

It is unclear at present if the Vultures follow the same rules (although some evidence I have seen suggests otherwise).

why dont the traffic wardens ever see the idiots that park ON the pavements eg chilham road and allington. not two wheels in the road or on the grass. but YOU CANT MAKE ME MOVE slap bang 4 wheels on pavement. to pass them we have to go into the road if it is clear or wait if it is not.
