Fascinating that Mrs Furlong chooses to lend her support to a party that have made an absolute mess of education in this country. How about parents getting angry at the government who have now created an education system where 1 in 5 pupils leave school unable to read or write to the required standard, a government who have created a system where many colleges now facing going bankrupt to a lack of funding for new build projects they were encouraged to undertake via the LSC, a government who have seen Britain fall down the international league tables, a government who are now taking away charitable status from well-performing independent schools. I could go on, but I think Mrs Furlong needs a reality check if she thinks voting Labour will bring anything other than even lower standards and massive debt for children in this country.

Anyone voting Labour deserves what they get.

Ah, good! I am pleased that someone has illustrated exactly what I have been writing about, here and elsewhere, on this and other issues.

Many people will fall into the same trap in this by-election, and that could allow Labour to hold onto this seat. However so many now realise how Labour operate, and how their national government contrives matters to make councils run by other parties look bad for political reasons, that I suspect the tide might turn sufficiently to produce a Conservative win.

The comments elsewhere in the Luton and Wayfield category about Labour using children as political pawns ? exactly what I have been reporting for years (though more usually the frail and elderly are the pawns here in Medway) ? shows that people really are waking up to this fact.

If they are happy with more of the same kinds of practices, vote Labour. If not, don't. It's that simple!

Just to let you know I will NOT be voting Conservative on 3rd September.
Due to Medway council (Conservative run) putting forward our school Ridge Meadow for closure.
They have never given any real answers to any questions asked, DO NOT follow their own Primary Strategy as it states nowhere that they have to close schools to deal with surplus places.
If CONSERVATIVES close these good schools there will be many angry, worried and concerned parents who will all want answers and justification.

Yours Mrs Furlong
