Is there a brothel above Medway MP’s office?

Police are investigating claims that there could be a brothel operating above Medway MP Bob Marshall-Andrew’s constituency office.

According to the Medway Messenger, the allegations surfaced in one of today’s local papers. Further investigation on Google News shows the only related article to be in the Daily Mail blogs, although the link to the website is not working.

The local Labour Party are denying any knowledge of a supposed brothel – but confirmed that the flat above is not owned by them.

Hat-tip to Labour blogger and activist Tristan Osborne, who states on his blog that it was the News of the World (surprise, surprise) who uncovered the sordid details.

‘A bit embarassing [sic] for all concerned,’ Mr Osborne wrote on his blog, Musings from Medway. It was always a working office – now I know it didnt [sic] stop after we closed the door in the evening.

‘I am a regular visitor to the office [in an official capacity] for printing and for branch meetings. I never once saw anyone going upstairs.’

According to the News of the World, local Labour Chairman Bob Wade said ‘It’s news to us. We are trying to work out what the way forward is.

‘I believe Labour Party Properties owned the whole building then sold the flat so it’s out of our control.’
