Fuel duty rises at midnight

Tax on fuel will rise at midnight tonight, creating a total increase in fuel prices of 2.3p pet litre.
Average UK fuel prices have already risen to 105p per litre, with Twydall’s Somerfield garage currently setting prices at 105.9p.

Medway County Court to be expanded

Medway County Court will be expanded to include two new court rooms, Justice Minister Bridget Prentice said on Wednesday.
The County Court, which is situated in Chatham High Street and deals with civil and family cases, currently has five court rooms. Mrs Prentice’s proposals would see that number rise to seven.
