NHS meetings cancelled as more snow forecast

Whilst London has been forecast anywhere up to – and possibly exceeding – 40cm (16in) of snow overnight, Medway is unlikely to face such instant disruption, although warnings of snow are in place from Tuesday afternoon until at least Saturday.

Medway received a light dusting of snow on Sunday, which quickly turned to ice overnight, yet experts are warning that this week’s snowfall could be more like those experienced the week before Christmas.

In anticipation of the forthcoming snow, NHS Medway has cancelled meetings tonight at the Rainham Mark Social Club, and Thursday at the Corn Exchange in Rochester. According to the Medway Messenger, other meetings from next Monday are still expected to go ahead.

According to the BBC, Medway is unlikely to be hit by snow until midnight tonight (Tuesday), with further snowfall expected from mid-morning tomorrow.
