Overall pregnancy rates amongst U18s has fallen since 1998. This is not a simple issue, and I think the scaremongering and rank populism of Conservatives belittles the real people who do get pregnant at a young age and who deserve our support. Populism over statistics does well with the blue-rinse but I note the Lansley does not have a difference in policy to reduce rates and interestingly does not comment on the rates previous to 1998 - which were significantly higher under the Major Conservative Government.
