A brief update

Most of this blog’s readers will have noticed a lack of posting here for nearly four weeks now.

Those few with more knowledge of what has been going on will have noticed that my last post was published not long after my Grandad went into hospital, since when everything else has been put to the side.

Sadly, he passed away on 13th March and was cremated yesterday after a highly emotional, yet fittingly private, service.

Today, I am having a lazy day before I hit the ground running tomorrow. Don’t expect to see anything of any substance to appear here, though – I have a lot of university work to be catching up with, first.

I would like to thank everyone for their kind words over the past couple of weeks, and make a point about charity donations.

Twydall’s Holy Trinity Church will be receiving a cheque for £45 (which gives you some idea of how little this blog earns – and how much needs to be done to ensure enough money is raised to keep it going) and, in line with my family’s wishes for friends, this month’s charity donation – of roughly £30 – will be going to the Gillingham branch of the Royal British Legion, of which my Grandad was a proud Life Member and Life Vice President.

Once again, thank you for your kind words, and your patience, and I promise you I will be back properly in due course – after all, this is election year!
